~15 minutes from our shop

Panama City has thousands of air conditioners that were all installed within the same 18 months after Hurricane Michael, and they are all aging into the repair window at the same time. Preventive maintenance is how you stay out of that rush. Titan Gulf Air services systems across The Cove, Downtown, St. Andrews, Millville, Glenwood, Forest Park, Bunkers Cove and College Point with a tune-up designed for the Gulf Coast — not a ten-minute filter swap.

Our free Titan Shield membership includes two maintenance visits a year and 10% off repairs, at no charge. Comfort, Elite and Ultimate plans add deeper cleanings, priority scheduling and 15–25% repair discounts.

We maintain every major brand and every system type: split systems, heat pumps, mini-splits and package units.

What Our Panama City Tune-Up Covers

Outside, we clean the condenser coil — essential under Panama City’s oak canopy, where leaves, pollen and moss pack the fins — test the capacitor and contactor under load, measure fan motor amperage, and verify refrigerant charge by superheat and subcooling. Inside, we clear and treat the condensate drain line, test the float switch, inspect the evaporator coil and blower wheel, tighten electrical connections, check the filter and calibrate the thermostat.

We also look at airflow and the visible ductwork, because in older Panama City homes a system that seems to be failing is often just fighting a collapsed or disconnected duct. You get a written report with photos so you know exactly what condition your system is in.

  • Condenser coil cleaning and debris removal
  • Capacitor, contactor and motor testing under load
  • Refrigerant charge verified by measurement
  • Drain line clearing, algae treatment and float switch test
  • Evaporator coil, blower and filter inspection
  • Airflow check and visible duct inspection

Why Twice a Year Matters Here

Our cooling season runs from March into November. A spring visit gets the system ready for the eight-month sprint; a fall visit catches the wear that summer caused before it turns into a winter or early-spring failure. High humidity means drain lines clog faster than in drier climates, and the mature trees that shade Panama City neighborhoods keep outdoor coils dirtier than average.

For the post-Michael systems specifically, twice-a-year testing of capacitors and contactors is the difference between a $200 planned part replacement and a $2,000 compressor failure caused by a part that should have been caught.

AC Maintenance in Panama City: Common Questions

How often should I service my AC in Panama City?

Twice a year — spring and fall. Our cooling season is roughly eight months long and humidity is high year-round, so once a year is not enough. Titan Shield includes both visits free.

Is the Titan Shield plan really free?

Yes. Two inspections a year and 10% off repairs at no cost. Paid plans — Comfort ($24.99/mo), Elite ($49.99/mo) and Ultimate ($89.99/mo) — add deeper service and bigger discounts.

My system was installed in 2019. Does it need maintenance already?

Especially so. Systems from the post-Michael rebuild are now at the age where capacitors, contactors and fan motors begin to fail. Twice-a-year testing catches those parts before they take out the compressor.

Do you maintain mini-splits and older package units?

Yes. We service all system types and all major brands throughout Panama City.
